Preparing for Your First Appointment
Your First Appointment
We’ll start by welcoming you at the front desk and making sure your intake forms are completed. We schedule by appointment only so our office doesn’t get too crowded. Since we’ve set aside this time slot just for you, we’ll get you in right away without a long wait.
After that, we’ll review your complete medical and dental history and take X-rays and intraoral pictures. Dr. Velasquez will do a thorough examination and talk with you about his recommendations for treatment.
This first visit usually takes two hours. We make time for careful data collection and getting to know you. We’ll also start educating you about diet and oral hygiene to improve your long-term health.
Regular Appointments
We save you money by only doing the exam and X-rays at your first appointment. We’ll schedule any deep cleaning or treatment for a future appointment so it can be pre-authorized for insurance, depending on your finances and coverage.
For many procedures, you can choose whether you prefer to schedule the entire treatment during one visit or break it up into separate appointments.
New Patient Special & Emergency Care
For your initial consultation, new patients who are uninsured receive a complete examination and X-ray for $85. We won’t charge new patients who have insurance for their first exam and X-ray.
For emergency care, uninsured new patients pay only $50. For new patients with coverage, we only collect whatever insurance pays us so that you don’t pay a dime.
