What is a NightGuard?
NightGuards—specifically our Comfort Bite Splints—are custom-made oral devices that fit snugly over your upper or lower teeth. They're designed to protect your smile from the harmful effects of clenching and grinding (bruxism), especially during sleep. They also help reduce stress on your jaw muscles and prevent daily wear on your teeth.

    Comfort Bite Splints are recommended for:

• Night time teeth grinding and clenching
• Jaw or facial muscle soreness
• Tooth wear or enamel erosion
• Protecting your bite (occlusion) from further damage

❌ Contraindications
       Please note:

• These are not athletic mouthguards and do not absorb impact
• Do not use as a replacement for sports protection

⚠️ Care Warnings
      To keep your NightGuard in optimal condition:

• Use cool water only to clean
• Do NOT use: mouthwash, denture cleanser, alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, or hot water
• Avoid heat or direct sunlight
• If your NightGuard becomes loose, tight, cracked, or uncomfortable, contact Dr. Velasquez immediately

🧼 Cleaning Tips
​     Keep your Comfort Bite Splint fresh and safe:

• Brush and floss your teeth before wearing it
• Rinse your mouth thoroughly with water--remove all traces of mouthwash
• Rinse the splint with cool water before and after each use
• Let it air dry completely at room temperature

📦 Storage Instructions

• Store in the provided case after rinsing
• Keep the lid partially open to allow full drying
• Store out of sunlight and away from heat sources

• This appliance is for single-patient use only
• Sharing or reusing can lead to improper fit or cross-contamination
• May cause mild irritation to mouth, lips, or tongue
• Regular check-ups are recommended to monitor fit and function

• PLEASE keep it AWAY from your dogs (if you have one)

Your NightGuard is covered under a six-month warranty with proper care.
Warranty claims must include return of the original appliance.
