Dr. Velasquez grew up with the influence of his mom, Dr. Neome Velasquez, a Family Physician, and his dad, Dr. John Velasquez, a General Surgeon in the Philippines and in Africa.
He knew at an early age he wanted to be like his parents helping people. He is a compassionate, caring and gifted dentist.
Dr. Jeff D. Velasquez earned his Dental Degree from the (USC Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry) USC- University of Southern California, Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry. He opened his own private dental practice in 2004 because he wants to deliver excellent DENTAL CARE, and he is passionate about improving patients' smile.
Before Dentistry, Dr. Velasquez worked as a Registered Respiratory Therapist; helping manage and treat ventilator patients in the hospital ICU's. So he knows the importance of following strict infection control protocol, respiratory and universal precautions during this tough coronavirus (covid-19) pandemic in keeping patients, staff and the public safe during their dental visits.
He has been part of the Long Beach community for many years. He is a member of the Harbor Dental Society, California Dental Association and American Dental Association. He is married and have a son, Joey. He enjoys playing tennis, reading, traveling, hiking and spending time with his family and their pets (2 dogs & a cat).
